PREPARATION (STEP BY STEP)

Follow these steps to make a vegan béchamel sauce, which you can use as a filling or to gratinate a dish – the possibilities are endless! You can use white or wholemeal flour, but the most important thing is that you use our delicious Yosoy It’s not milk. Adjust the amount of salt and pepper to your taste or increase the amount of flour if you want it thicker.

1. Heat the oil in a saucepan over low heat and add the flour until lightly browned, stirring constantly with a spoon.

2. Little by little and stirring constantly with a whisk, add the oat drink.

3. When it thickens a little, add the salt, pepper and nutmeg and continue stirring.
After about 15 minutes, turn off the heat and leave to cool a little so that it thickens well.

Now that you know how to make the perfect vegan béchamel sauce, we recommend you try making asparagus gratin with mushrooms or vegan cannelloni with plant-based meat. Become a real chef with Yosoy recipes!
